A Miraculous Homecoming

### A Miraculous Homecoming

At that time, I was a bank officer stationed in Calicut. Life followed a predictable routine, with work consuming most of my time. However, one evening, as I returned to my hostel after a long day at the bank, something unusual happened. I was suddenly overwhelmed by an inexplicable feeling, almost as if a telepathic message was urging me to go home immediately. This sensation was so strong and persistent that it was impossible to ignore. I felt an unshakeable restlessness that kept me wide awake and uneasy.

Unable to sleep and driven by this powerful intuition, I decided to act on the feeling. Without wasting any time, I quickly packed a few clothes, grabbed my essentials, and made my way to the railway station. It was around 1:30 am when I managed to catch a train bound for my hometown. Fortunately, the next day was a holiday for Deepavali, which meant I could make the journey without worrying about work.

As the train chugged through the night, my mind was a whirl of thoughts. The urgency I felt was unlike anything I had experienced before. It was as if an invisible force was pulling me home, and despite the logical part of my mind questioning the need for such a sudden trip, my heart knew I was doing the right thing.

When I finally arrived home, I was met with a scene of deep sorrow. My great father had passed away on that very Deepavali day. The air was thick with grief and the house, usually vibrant with festive joy, was now steeped in mourning. It was a profound shock, yet there was a strange sense of peace in being there at that crucial moment.

In the midst of the sorrow, I found myself performing a sacred duty that brought immense solace. I was able to offer a few drops of Gangajal, considered profoundly sacred by Hindus, to my father's lips. This final act of devotion, a ritual signifying purity and spiritual liberation, felt deeply significant. It was as if my presence at that moment was meant to fulfill this sacred responsibility.

For years, the mystery of how I had known to come home at that precise moment remained unsolved. Despite the advances in science and technology that define our modern age, there are moments that transcend rational explanation. My experience felt like one of those rare instances where something beyond our understanding was at play.

Reflecting on this event, I am reminded of the profound connections that bind us to our loved ones. These connections can manifest in mysterious and powerful ways, guiding us when we need it most. The feeling that drove me home that night was not just a random impulse but a deeper, almost mystical sense of duty and love.

In an era where logic and reason often dominate our understanding of the world, experiences like mine highlight the enduring presence of the inexplicable. They remind us that life is not just a series of events dictated by science and technology but also a tapestry woven with threads of intuition, emotion, and perhaps, even the miraculous.
